The Tiger overcomes The Cougar
The curtain comes down on another successful season with our Grand Final at the Gala Casino.
Bradford Darts Promotions would like to thank Garry Oldfield and all is staff for a great day for all the darts players and spectators and for the buffet they put on for everyone. On to the games we had 31 of the qulifiers as one of the players was under age to be able to attened as you had to be 18 or over, The first semi final saw the Durham Boy Stewart Ireland against the Cougar Garry Thompson with Garry running out the winner in 3 legs to 1 in darts of 22/23/and14 Stewart's winning leg was 15 darts Garry had 3x180 and 1x140 to stewart's 1x180 and 2x140.
averages Garry 25.54% 76.64% Stewart 26.29% 78.87%
Second semi final scotty two hotty Scott Waites against the Castleford Tiger Steve O' Donnell this one went all the way with Steve running out the winner 3 legs to 2 in darts of 16/16/and 20 to Scott's 18/and 18 legs Steve had 1x180 and 3x140 to Scott's 7x140.
averages Steve 27.42% 82.28% Scott 28.26% 84.79%
Onto the final Garry (the Cougar) Thompson against his county team mate Steve (the Castleford Tiger) O'Donnell.
Garry won the toss and had the throw in the first leg to get things under way both players had plenty of support. this turned out to be the longest leg of the final with Steve winning in 23 darts after Garry had 9 darts to hit the double Garry also had 1 dart to take out the second leg but missed his double to let Steve in to win in 17 darts after that it was Steve all the way winning the last two legs both in 17 darts Garry had 1x180 and 2x140 Steve had 1x180 and 4x140
averages Steve 27.08% 81.24% Garry 25.91% 77.74%
